    Free Remote Assistance Now Available

    By TheEmperor | March 12, 2008

Here at the Tech Empire I have decided to start offering remote assistance via Crossloop which is another excellent product built on top of the VNC engine. Crossloop is insanely simple to use though it lacks a few of Ultra VNCs features. It is already configured to work through firewalls by using the Crossloop server as a relay.

If you need remote support follow these steps:

    1. Click on the Remote Support link at the top of the left sidebar. Choose to Open/Run the file.
    2. Once it is installed you can skip the Registration process as you will not need a login.
    3. Start CrossLoop
    4. Click on the Share tab in Cross Loop and copy the Access Code.
    5. Click on the “Petition The Emperor” link and send an email with a brief description of the problem and the Access Code. You will normally receive a response within an hour. This is true 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

While I am willing to do this kind of support for free I do strongly recommend that you make some small donation in return.

The kind of issues I support remotely are Virus and Spyware Removal, System Cleaning and maintenance, Software configuration and installtion, minor server issues, non-network related hardware issues, and most other issues of medium complexity. More complicated issues that are likely to take more than 3 hours I just can’t do for free, but don’t be afraid to ask. If I happen to have a large block of free time I might be able to take the job on.
